Overview

Wilderborne camps are the “bread and butter” to our company. These camps truly embody the mission we are on to equip men to not only be successful in the field but also in their everyday lives. The name of the company is derived from “wilderness” and “borne”. Wilderness because it is the testing grounds for us, to push our minds, bodies, and soul. Borne because we are all carrying unnecessary weight that is holding us back on showing up as the men we are. These camps are opportunity to be intentional, forge new friendships, discover more about the man you are, bring home some good food.

Wilderborne Basecamp

This camp is designed to build the foundations of hunting needed to get out in the field and be successful leveraging modern equipment. In this experience, you will spend a few days in the wilderness being challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. This camp will feature a target animal and designed with the new hunter in mind. It will be the most comfortable camp we offer. Below are the four skill pillars we are focusing on in this camp.

Scout

We will show the basics of escouting (on a computer or phone), and boots on the ground scouting. This will cover the sign to look for, the dynamics of the animal we are targeting, and tactics decisions based on what is available.

Hunt

Each participant will be paired with a hunting guide who will show them the ropes of hunting the area utilizing a variety of techniques. Our hunting style is not for the faint of heart. We will not be posting you on a field edge with feeders and a guaranteed shot but instead teaching you the skillset no matter what environment you are in.

Process

We will cover field dressing, and if you are successful at taking an animal then you will get in the field experience. In addition, we will provide hands on demonstrations of how to butcher and store an animal.

Preparing

The food is only as good as its preparation. We will be teaching you some easy yet delicious ways to prepare the meat we are targeting for each camp. This is so you can share with your family, loved ones, friends, and community how God provides.
